Sepsis survivor Leslie Williams found herself in the emergency room because she was experiencing fever, chills, shortness of breath, and dizziness.

After a series of tests, Leslie was diagnosed with pneumonia and sepsis. Working in the medical field, she knew that sepsis can sometimes be fatal. Luckily, Leslie went to the hospital early and was treated with antibiotics.

Leslie's advice to others is listen to your body. It usually tells you when something is abnormal and don't take those signs lightly.

As a recipient of a LEISHLine grant, Leslie will be able to pay off some medical bills.
