James “Jimmy” Jamison was taken to the ER in June 2021 where they found an obstruction in his large intestines and was taken to surgery. After surgery, he continued to decline as his blood pressure was bottoming out, he suffered a heart attack and his organs were failing. He was sent to another hospital where they found a hole in his large intestines that was leaking internally, causing him to go into severe toxic shock. The obstruction was identified as stage 2 colon cancer. Jimmy has been discharged home. He is receiving dialysis and will undergo additional surgeries and therapies to help his recovery. His daughter Hayley says, “He came back a completely new person because of how much he endured in such a short time. It is hard to adjust to looking at your dad, the one you always knew, because he is a whole new personality/character now. This is hard to understand unless you have been through it.
